ABOUT
ATLAS works like a time capsule.
Long before the first bottle of natural wine was poured here, these rooms had already known what they were for. A hundred years of Gasthäuser, Beisl and bistro passed through this address, under different names and hands. Vienna, in the early 1900s, ran on rooms like this: half-lit, a little smoky, full of people who came back for the feeling of belonging.
Rooms like that are going extinct. Our mission is to bring them back with a modern twist.
Sitting in the middle of Neubau, Vienna's 7th district and its hub for creativity and culture, ATLAS became a neighborhood spot, open to new faces and old friends alike. Rush without hurry, strangers who leave as friends, a room that's always full but never crowded.

Our drinks are mostly small-batch and handmade, made by people we know, the way we know our own little place. Wine comes mostly from Europe, with a strong Austrian core, made naturally, with minimal intervention. The same intention runs through the beer, coffee, soft drinks, and cocktails. Nothing fancy but never without an ingredient like angostura. A few coolers and non-alcoholic wines mean everyone can join the table.
The kitchen runs on three pillars: natural, regional, seasonal. We keep the menu short and ever-changing, a few mains plus snacks all night, many vegetarian and vegan, with small plates made for sharing. It's a small kitchen with a big heart: we make our own ferments, fried sage, green oil, the touches that make a plate worth ordering.
Gastronomy and culture are two sides of the same coin. At the back sits a semi-white cube room, so you can focus on what's in front of you. If you want to be included: applications are open to anyone. Beside exhibitions, ATLAS hosts jazz nights, concerts, vintage markets, DJ sets, and more.
Never forgetting who came before us, keeping in mind who comes after. Join the table, somewhere in time.
